Objectives: The objective of the course is the study of the fundamental aspects of data management, of database management systems and of database design methodologies. After the successful completion of the course, the student will have acquired the basic notions of data management and the techniques and methods to project a database and to use the fundamental functionalities of database management systems. Moreover, the student will acquire the basic notions about data protection and security in information systems.
